What’s open and closed in Cherry Hill Township during New Year’s weekend

Many offices and community centers have modified hours through Monday due to the New Year’s holiday.

With New Year’s Day falling on a Sunday this year, many government offices and places of business will have modified hours or will be closed through Monday. Check out what places will be open and closed this weekend in Cherry Hill.

Post offices: All post offices will be closed both on Sunday and Monday for New Year’s Day. There will be no mail deliver on either day. Mail will be delivered as scheduled on New Year’s Eve and all post offices will be open on their normal Saturday schedule.

Township offices: The Cherry Hill Township Municipal Building will be closed through Monday for the New Year’s holiday. Trash and recycling will be collected as scheduled on Monday. Township offices will reopen on Tuesday for normal business hours.

Cherry Hill Public Library: The library will be closed on Sunday and Monday for New Year’s Day. The library will be open as normal on New Year’s Eve. The library will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday.

Cherry Hill Public Schools: Cherry Hill Public Schools will be open for a full day of classes on Monday, Jan. 2.

Katz JCC: The Katz JCC health and wellness facilities will close at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Only the JCC’s Health and Wellness facilities will be open on New Year’s Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. JCC offices will be closed on both Sunday and Monday in observance of New Year’s Day.

Banks: Nearly all area banks, including Bank of America, PNC Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and TD Bank, will be closed on both Sunday and Monday for New Year’s Day. Most banks will be open for normal Saturday hours on New Year’s Eve. Some banks, such as Wells Fargo Bank, will close early on Saturday.

Cherry Hill Mall: The mall will close early on New Year’s Eve at 6 p.m. On New Year’s Day, the mall will open at 11 a.m. and again close early at 6 p.m.
