Marlton man arrested by state police after crashing stolen Evesham vehicle on Route 295

The incident began on Oct. 30 when Evesham officers responded to the 300 block of Barton Run Boulevard for a motor vehicle theft.

The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On Oct. 30, Evesham officers responded to the 300 block of Barton Run Boulevard for a motor vehicle theft. Investigation determined that when the owner was walking out of a friend’s apartment she observed her vehicle speeding out of the apartment complex.

The vehicle was not immediately located by officers searching the area. Shortly after officers entered the vehicle into a nationwide stolen vehicle database they were contacted by the New Jersey State Police stating that the stolen vehicle was involved a collision on Route 295 and the driver was arrested by state troopers while attempting to flee the scene.

Arrested:

A male, age 27, of Marlton, was charged with third degree theft of a vehicle. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $5,000 bail.
