Evesham Township officials warn against phone calls asking residents to remove campaign signs

Any legitimate concerns from the township would only be issued in the form of an official letter.

Evesham Township manager Tom Czerniecki reports that it has come to attention of Evesham Township that some Evesham residents have received automated phone calls directing then to remove campaign lawn signs.

According to Czerniecki, the caller identifies himself as an official of the Evesham Township Public Works Department.

Czerniecki is asking residents to be advised that such calls are not legitimate calls.

In the event the township did have a concern regarding a campaign sign, Czerniecki said the property owner would be informed in writing on official letter head, with the name of the official issuing the letter, and it would include references to specific municipal ordinances.
