Cinnaminson student arrested for creepy clown incident

The 14-year-old was reportedly terrorizing a busload of kids

Director of Public Safety Michael P. King sent out a letter to Cinnaminson residents and parents regarding recent clown sightings.

On Oct. 5, Cinnaminson Police responded to a call at the Cinnaminson Middle School regarding an individual in a clown mask running around the soccer fields. The individual’s actions were said to have terrorized a busload of students arriving at the Middle School.

Officers detained the suspect, a 14-year-old student. The juvenile was released to their parents. The juvenile complains will be forwarded to the Burlington County Prosecutors Office for review.

The letter states that the Cinnaminson Police Department has taken a zero tolerance policy towards any acts involving “creepy clown sightings”. King also assured that he is in regular contact with Cinnaminson Township School District Dr. Salvatore Illuzzi.

The Cinnaminson Police Department will be implementing an increased police presence at district schools.
