Body camera footage leads to criminal charges against subject who falsely accused Evesham Police officer of physical assault
An internal affairs investigation concluded on Sept. 27 and determined that the reported complaint did not occur and the officer followed all departmental policies and procedures.
On June 23, Evesham Officers arrested a malefor driving while intoxicated. After the male was released from custody, he initiated an internal affairs investigation accusing one of the arresting officers of physically assaulting him during the incident.
Through an extensive internal affairs investigation that was concluded on Sept. 27, it was determined that the reported complaint did not occur and the officer followed all departmental policies and procedures. The arresting officer’s body worn camera footage clearly showed that the accused officer did not assault the male and criminal charges were brought against the complainant for filing a false police report.
Charged:
A male, age 29, of Marlton, was charged with fourth-degree falsely incriminating another. His whereabouts are unknown.
