YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties holds spinathon for scholarships Sept. 17

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties will hold its fourth annual Pedal with a Purpose Spinathon on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Mt. Laurel YMCA, 59 Centerton Road. Teams of cyclists will pedal to raise money for YMCA Youth Scholarships and access to programs that have a lasting impact. This unique fundraising event combines physical fitness and fun, while meeting the Y’s mission of youth development and social responsibility.

The spinathon will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, with registration at 7:30 a.m. The event will be held outdoors unless it rains and then it will be moved indoor. To register a team, or information about sponsorship opportunities, visit www.ymca-bc.org or call Elise Mac-Bello at (856) 231–9622 ext. 259.

The Pedal with a Purpose Spinathon is run in partnership with Reconstructive Orthopedics. Awards will be given to the team with the most monies raised, the most spirited team and the first place team. New and old bikes will also be collected at the event for youth participating in our Watershed Education by Bike program.
