Go4theGoal, a nonprofit helping children with cancer achieve their goals, is even closer to the finish line thanks to a pair $2,500 grants from the Investors Bank Foundation and the Roma Bank Community Foundation.

Go4theGoal will use the funds to further the organization’s mission of improving the lives of children battling cancer through financial support, unique hospital programs, innovative research and the granting of personal wishes.

“Some of my youngest family members have been touched by cancer, and I know that many others in South Jersey and across the nation are facing the same uphill battle,” said Go4theGoal Executive Director Beth Stefanacci. “These grants from the Investors Bank Foundation and Roma Bank Community Foundation mean so much to each and every pediatric cancer patient. We will use the funds to make a difference in the lives of these children.”

Go4theGoal applied for the grants totaling $5,000 from the Investors Bank Foundation and Roma Bank Community Foundation. The foundations support non-profit organizations that enrich the diverse communities served by Investors Bank. Roma Bank became part of Investors Bank in December 2013.

“Everyone knows someone who has or had cancer, and that’s why the mission of Go4theGoal is so important,” said Hector Melendez, Investors Bank assistant vice president and Voorhees branch manager.
