Evesham Police arrest two for shoplifting turned robbery, still seeking identity of third suspect

The following report is on file with the Evesham Police Department:

On July 9, Evesham officers responded to ShopRite, located at 307 Route 70 West, for a shoplifting in progress. Police investigation at the scene determined that a male, who police later identified, and a still unidentified male, attempted to steal $370 worth of energy drinks and condoms from the store when confronted by loss prevention security.

A physical altercation ensued, but the identified male was able to be detained at the scene by security. The unidentified male fled on foot toward Route 70. The driver of the getaway car, a female, fled the scene striking a parked vehicle as she fled. Her vehicle registration obtained at the scene assisted in locating her later that night.

The female was eventually arrested by New Jersey State Police at her residence in Pilesgrove. She was then turned over to Evesham officers.

At this time, the identity of the third suspect is unknown. A surveillance photo has been distributed to attempt to identify him.

Arrested:

A male, age 21, of Marlton, was charged with one count of robbery and possession of heroin. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $50,000 full bail.

A female, age 21, of Pilesgrove, was charged with motor vehicle offenses and robbery. She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $25,000 full bail.

A third suspect remains unidentified.
