Medford Police: Voorhees man charged with burglary at Bortons Road home

The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.

On March 21 at 7:08 p.m., Medford Township police officers responded to a residence on Bortons Road for the report of a burglary. The investigation revealed that sometime between Dec. 28, 2015 and March 21, 2016, the residence was entered by smashing a second floor window. Once inside, the actor targeted the master bedroom and stole jewelry, valued at $9,000.

On April 1, a 51-year-old man from Voorhees was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $75,000 full. At that time, he was incarcerated in Pennsylvania pending extradition to New Jersey. On May 20 Geoffrey Petit was arrested at the Camden County Jail and remains incarcerated at that facility.
