Anat Hoffman to speak about women’s equality in Isreal at Temple Emanuel in June
Anat Hoffman, chairperson of the Board for Women of the Wall and Executive Director of the Israel Religious Action Center, will discuss her efforts in bringing women equality to Israeli society on Sunday, June 5 at 6:30 pm at Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill.
As executive director, Hoffman guides IRAC in its work to promote Jewish pluralism, tolerance, and equality and to combat racism, corruption, and religious coercion. During her tenure, she has expanded IRAC’s mission to go beyond the courts and the Knesset, and to engage in helping people directly through social action. As founder of Women of the Wall, she has led the effort to assure that women could read Torah and pray at their own site adjacent to the hallowed Kotel. In addition, as an attorney she has brought several important cases to the highest level within the Israeli legal system assuring women equality in various areas of Israeli society.
Previously, Hoffman served as a Jerusalem City Councilwoman for 14 years, carving out a niche for herself as an untiring warrior for justice and equality. It is this commitment to social action and justice that has formed her career.

VIP tickets are available for $118, $250 and $1000 and include reserved seating and a private reception with Hoffman.
