Resurfacing of Church Street in Moorestown expected to happen April 25

Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio announced today that resurfacing of a 2.4 mile portion of Church Street/Church Road (County Route 607) in Moorestown and Cinnaminson Township is expected to begin on April 25. The project will be completed in two stages.

“As part of our continual maintenance of Burlington County’s over 500 miles of center-line roads, the first stage of the project involves pavement milling and overlay of Church Street/Church Road from Foster Road in Moorestown to Lenola Road in Cinnaminson,” said Director Garganio. “The second stage of this project involves pavement milling and overlay of Church Street/Church Road from Foster Road to New Albany Road in Moorestown.”

Each stage of the project is expected to take about two weeks to complete with traffic being maintained during the milling and paving operation schedule. Motorists using the roadway may experience minor delays and are recommended to find alternative routes when possible during the work.

The work is being done by American Asphalt Co., Inc., from West Collingswood as part of the County’s 2014 State Funded Overlay Program.

A total 23.1 miles of roadway in 18 municipalities are being resurfaced through shared state and county funding.
