Medford’s Junior Girl Scout Troop 24206 and sister troop 24207 are collecting toiletries for the CHOP Family Hospitality Room to aid the hospital’s supply shortage.
The toiletries will be used by families who find themselves in the unimaginable situation of being at the hospital unexpectedly for an extended period of time.
The group has set the bar high, trying to collect 1,525 toiletries in all.
They will be going door to door in their service area during the month of March and will also have a drop box located at PJ Whelihan’s Pub & Grill located on 61 Stokes Road in Medford Lakes. The drop box will be available starting on March 5.
The troop will be collecting items such as but not limited to toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, mouth wash, combs and brushes.
“We want to thank you in advance for any help you can provide,” Madi and Julia Wingate said.
