Kindergarten registration for Shamong children entering kindergarten in September is scheduled for Feb. 22–25. Parents are requested to complete the registration packet at the school during this week to assist school officials in organizing classes for September. To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before Oct. 1.
It is not necessary for parents to bring their children to the registration. However, you will need to bring the following items with you to register:
- Original birth certificate with raised State Seal.
- Medical records — particularly immunization records.
- Four proofs of residency — one proof must be one of the following items: deed, contract of sale, lease, mortgage, signed letters from landlord or any other evidence of property ownership, tenancy or residency
