The Burlington County State Health Insurance Assistance Program, operated by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Burlington County, which is supported by Rowan College at Burlington County, is offering free Medicare assistance during the open enrollment period, which runs now through Monday, Dec. 7.
Trained counselors can help Medicare recipients and caregivers review current plans and compare new options, understand costs associated with different plans, and navigate the enrollment process.
The SHIP office has scheduled two free seminars to assist residents during open enrollment:
* Public Presentation on Medicare Changes for 2016: 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9 at the Burlington County Library located on 5 Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton.
* Open Enrollment Counseling Sessions: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, room 220 of Rowan College at Burlington County’s Willingboro Center located on 200 Campbell Drive, Suite 210. Appointments are required for counseling sessions. To make an appointment, please call (609) 894–9311, ext. 1494.
