Haddon Fortnightly meeting features speaker from Haddonfield Shade Tree Commission

The Haddon Fortnightly will hold its monthly business meeting on Friday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Clubhouse on Kings Highway and Grove Street. After the business meeting, the program for this month will feature Robin Potter, president of the Haddonfield Shade Tree Commission who will speak on the topic of “The Trees of Haddonfield.”

Have you ever wondered about the beautiful trees that line the streets of Haddonfield: what are their names, who takes care of them, and who decides if a tree is to be pruned or removed? Come and find out these answers and about the Haddonfield Shade Commission at our Oct. 23 meeting.

The public is welcome and the program is free. In addition to this program, the candidate who The Haddon Fortnightly sponsored for the Girl’s State Institute this past summer will share her experiences and lessons that she brought away with her after attending the Institute.

Please join us for what will be a very interesting afternoon! Light refreshments will be served.
