Letter to the Editor: Vote Heidi Handler for a leader who will guide the way

Regarding the upcoming local election, I would like ask my fellow citizens of Voorhees to vote for my friend Dr./Lawyer Heidi Handler. She is a real life Dougie Howser, having gone to the University of Chicago at the age of 15.

Her passion and commitment to success drove her to complete both a law degree and a medical degree, an amazing accomplishment.

When she is not working as a full time urgent care doctor, she is volunteering her time to improve our community through involvement in her synagogue, charity work with dog rescue, or educational improvement through the New Jersey Association for Gifted and Talented students.

That drive and compassion is exactly what we need in the Voorhees Committee to lead us in a new direction and reverse the out of control property taxes and government waste.

Her innovative ideas for generating revenue, attracting new businesses, and eliminating unnecessary expenses will ensure that Voorhees can continue to provide the world class education institutions that attract families to our town, while improving services and making it more affordable for seniors and empty-nesters to remain a vibrant part of our community.

It is time for Voorhees to leave behind the failed policies of the last decade.

Dr. Heidi Handler and her running mate Dave Adamson are the leaders who will guide the way.
