Two authors offer educational seminar “Everything You Need to Know to Be An Author” Sept. 26

Two Mt. Laurel authors, Lisa Bien and Lisa Shiroff, are joining forces to offer an educational seminar for anyone wanting to write a book and get published. “Everything You Need to Know to Be An Author” seminar will be on Sept. 26 at the Plum Yoga Shop in Haddonfield from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both Bien and Shiroff have diverse personal and professional experiences and both know firsthand how to inspire and motivate others to become successful authors. This half-day educational seminar will cover the topics: How to Find Your Voice; How to Believe in Your Story; How to Overcome Fear of Failure or of “not being good enough”; Necessary Elements of Good Non-fiction; Necessary Elements of Good Fiction; and Paths to Publication.

Lisa Bien, TV host, speaker and author of two books, “Life Happens: Bounce Back!” and “Divorce Happens: Bounce Back!” combines humor with raw honesty to connect with her audience. In both books, she shares numerous autobiographical accounts of key events in her life that led to the creation of her Bouncing Back strategy. The four-step, Bounce Back to You Plan she presents in her books is the backbone of her motivational talks and workshops where she teaches resiliency through the art of self-love.

Lisa Shiroff is a comedic fiction author, publisher, freelance writer and book coach. While focusing on creating her own line of humorous and empowering books, she continues to work with a full gamut of fiction and non-fiction writers, helping them turn their ideas into published books.
