Reconstructive Orthopedics received the Adopt-a-Highway Award for cleaning up Route 38

Reconstructive Orthopedics has received the Adopt-a-Highway Award from the New Jersey Clean Communities Council (NJCCC) for its commitment to cleaning up RouteĀ 38.

Reconstructive Orthopedics, headquartered in Marlton, is the largest private orthopedic surgery group based in New Jersey with more than 30 physicians and nine offices across southern New Jersey. The practice joined the Adopt-a-Highway program in the spring ofĀ 2014.

ā€œWhenever I travelled along Route 38, I would often see trash and clutter, so we adopted that area. We are very committed to cleaning and maintaining this highway,ā€ said Dr. Robert M. Greenleaf, MD of Reconstructive Orthopedics who established the highway cleanup program for his practice. ā€œWe always have a large turnout of hard-working volunteers and do a thorough job, which generates dozens of large bags of trash andĀ litter.ā€

The annual Adopt-a-Highway Award is presented to a business that has cleaned and maintained public property for at least twoĀ years.

ā€œReconstructive Orthopedics has been a trusted partner of ours and has shown a strong commitment to cleaning up a section of Route 38, making the business an ideal recipient for this award,ā€ said NJCCC executive director Sandy Huber. ā€œWe thank the team for all of its hard work, and salute its ongoing commitment to a litter-free NewĀ Jersey.ā€

NJCCC is a comprehensive, statewide litter-abatement program that has served New Jersey residents and visitors for more than 25 years. Learn more at njclean.org.
