The Cherry Hill Association of Pools Volleyball League’s season wrapped up on Saturday, Aug. 8 as Woodcrest Red beat Kingston for the championship at Woodcrest Swim Club.
In the championship match, Woodcrest Red defeated Kingston, 25–23 25–23. Woodcrest Red lost just one game in the day’s final tournament and won nine. The team included captain Mike Kon, Alfred Arcaroli, Jeremy Gardner, Rob Kolmins, Boris Kon and Rob Spier.
To reach the finals, Woodcrest Red defeated Willowdale, 25–22 25–23 and Kingston beat Cherry Valley B, 25–20 23–25 25–19.
The top seven teams in CHAP qualified for the year-end tournament. Their records in the round-robin portion of the tournament were
- Woodcrest Red, 5–1
- Cherry Valley B, 4–2
- Kingston, 4–2
- Willowdale, 3–3
- Woodcrest White, 3–3
- Old Orchard, 2–4
- Haddon Glen, 0–6
The other five teams in CHAP played in the consolation tournament at Charleston Swim Club. Charleston Gold won the consolation tournament. Their team included captain Matt Acciani, Jim Accardi,, Andy Aronson, Danny Aronson, Colin Fisher, Marcello Garber, Bill Hasrt and Mike Rouff.
