The following reports are on file with the Voorhees Township Police Department:
On April 8 at approximately 7:11p.m. Voorhees Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Evesham Road and Avian Plaza. Preliminary investigation by police revealed the following:
A 2002 Toyota Celica, operated solely by Marlton, New Jersey resident, Sengching Hwang age 64, was traveling Eastbound on Evesham Road when it struck a 2011 Hyundai Elantra that was attempting to exit the Avian Plaza. Both vehicles then veered off the roadway before striking several trees. Voorhees Police were on scene immediately as well as emergency medical personnel rendering aid. The Hyundai Elantra driver was transported to Cooper Hospital where her condition is listed as stable. Sengching Hwang was transported to Virtua Hospital in Marlton where hospital personnel advised she succumbed to her injuries at 7:56pm.
The crash investigation is still ongoing and being investigated by Voorhees Police.
