Brush Fire Incident

On April 6, 2015 at 3:23 p.m., Medford Fire, Police, and EMS Personnel were dispatched to 100 Skeet Road for a report of a brush fire. Upon arriving, in the area, it was determined that a small wooded area north of 100 Skeet Road was on fire. The fire was extinguished by Medford Fire personnel and the NJ State Forest Fire Service. Investigation into the matter revealed that the homeowner at 100 Skeet Road was burning cardboard in his side yard. The fire grew out of control causing the woods to catch fire. A 20 foot x 40 foot section of the woods sustained fire damage. The incident is being investigated by the State Forestry Service.
