The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Police Department:
On Feb. 18 at 10:30 p.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 after observing the vehicle being operated in a carless manner.
During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Spike was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Spike was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of drugs and over 20 fraudulent credit cards. All four occupants were arrested during this investigation.
Arrested:
A male, age 23, of New York was charged with 16 counts of third degree theft by deception and fraudulent documents and a disorderly person offense for possession of marijuana. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail on $80,000Â bail.
A male, age 23, of New York was charged with a disorderly person offense for possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.
A male, age 35, of New York was charged with a disorderly person offense for possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.
A male, age 23, of New York was charged with a disorderly person offense for possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.
