The Letter Writers Alliance will meet at Moorestown Library on Jan. 21

If you enjoy written correspondence and are passionate about keeping the art of letter writing alive, attend the Letter Writers Alliance meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Moorestown Library to learn more. Recently letter writing has become more popular with groups popping up in nearby towns and cities like Philadelphia. Oprah listed it as her №1 thing to do during the Month of Karma in December 2013.

Matthew Manella, who started a Letter Writers Alliance group in Cherry Hill, will lead the meeting and will offer suggestions to spur attendees’ creative juices to write letters. He will provide resources to help newcomers get started with letter writing as well.

Some supplies will be provided, but participants are urged to bring their favorite letter writing materials. This event is free and open to the public. Please call the Reference Desk at (856) 234–0333 to reserve your spot or for more information. You can also register online at www.moorestown.lib.nj.us.

Upcoming meetings will be Feb. 18, March 18 and April 15 at the same time at the library.
