The Moorestown DeCafe is delighted to welcome Virginia-based roots duet The Honey Dewdrops on Nov. 21. Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish blend new Americana and traditional folk music, creating inspired songs rooted in the experience of real people. Not to be pegged as just another singer-songwriter couple, they embed a sparse Appalachian clarity in every song — achieving a sound that is transcendent.
With music that covers the ground spanning hand-crafted folk songs, Appalachian fiddle tunes and a cappella spirituals, every song shines with energy and emotion through intimate performances. With a handful of acoustic instruments and tightly layered harmonies, the duo fills up a room with sound and feeling that lingers long after the show is over.
