Resurrection Catholic School raises money for Build Jake’s Place

At Resurrection Catholic School, students are given an opportunity to “dress down” on one designated Dollar Dress Down Day each month, in exchange for a $1 or more donation to that month’s chosen charity.

Members of the school community are asked to nominate a charity they would like to see benefit from a dress down day. The faculty and staff then vote and one charity is chosen each month throughout the school year.

The charity chosen for September was Build Jake’s Place. Jake’s Place is a “boundless playground” located at Challenge Grove Park in Cherry Hill. There, children of all ability levels are able to play and learn together.

For this dress down day, families donated $676 to benefit Build Jake’s Place. A second playground, “Jake’s Place Too,” will soon be built in Delran. This donation will surely make a difference.

More information about Resurrection Catholic is available at www.RCSCherryHill.com.
