The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.
The police department’s special investigation unit received a tip that an individual residing on the unit block of Harding Avenue was selling marijuana from his residence.
After a month long investigation, which included undercover purchases, members of special investigations, were able to obtain judicial approval for a search warrant of the defendant’s residence and vehicle. On Wednesday May 21, when officers responded to execute the warrants the defendant was observed in a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance after the warrant execution resulted in nearly two pounds of marijuana as well as manufacturing and distribution materials. Police also seized a quantity of cash.
The suspect was released on a summons pending a court date.
