County offering free technology business workshop at Burlington County College on April 24

Entrepreneurs are invited to Burlington County’s free Technology Business Workshop on April 24 at Burlington County College held during the state’s weeklong effort to highlight the importance of technology and entrepreneurship.

“Burlington County’s economy relies on many entrepreneurs who understand the value and importance of keeping up with the latest technological advancements,” said Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio, who has spearheaded a countywide Workforce Development Initiative. “This is a worthy forum to help modern business owners thrive in the 21st century.”

The program will be held from 8 to 11:45 a.m., Thursday, April 24 at The Enterprise Center at Burlington County College’s Mount Laurel campus, 3331 Route 38. To register for the free program, visit techbizworkshop.eventbrite.com. Panels begin at 9 a.m., following a networking session.

“From aligning our programs with the needs of the private sector to offering world-class customized training to companies, Burlington County College is very much in tune with the ever-changing landscape of technology in the marketplace,” said BCC Interim President Dr. David Spang. “These panels will explore very relevant topics, which will help entrepreneurs succeed in Burlington County.”

The panels will consist of highly-successful business people and public-sector economic growth representatives who will focus on several topics including: trends and growth sectors in technology, business growth, angel investments and social media.

“This workshop will provide outstanding guidance to first-time entrepreneurs or experienced business owners looking for a fresh perspective,” said Kristi Howell-Ikeda, President of the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Attendees will receive a guide to entrepreneurial resources and can meet representatives from Burlington County College, Burlington County, state agencies and the private sector.

The forum is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as part of Technology and Entrepreneurship Talent Network Industry Week designed to focus on the latest trends.
