Marlton Elks held flag retirement and induction ceremony on Feb. 23

On Feb. 23 Marlton Elks held a flag retirement and induction ceremony. Marlton Elks brought into the lodge a new flag from the capital of the United States. Marlton was honored to bring in a new flag complete with a certificate from congress. At the same time Marlton’s flag retirement ceremony collected flags from local residents and with township fire and police on site, the flags were honorably retired. The ceremony was conducted by retired Master Sgt. Randy Yontz.

In addition, township and state officials were on hand and presented Marlton Lodge with a certificate of appreciation for fine work in the community. Marlton Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts were part of the ceremony and Marlton’s Elks were happy to serve the community in this capacity.

Marlton Elks have served the community of Evesham and nearby communities for almost 40 years. Elks work toward special needs projects in the community, scholarship for high school seniors, essay contests, youth sports events and more. Marlton Elks lodge does this by dinners and events at our lodge at 426 Evesboro-Medford road in Marlton. Elks open season for new membership commences Feb 28 and the next open house event is March 15, Elks St. Patrick’s Dinner. Contact Marlton Elks at 856–983-ELKS for more information.
