Whether you’re looking for a free, entertaining activity on a cold, rainy day for your little ones, or you’re taking a break from a family shopping trip, the new indoor Play Area at Moorestown Mall is the place to be. Join us for the Open House Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon and discover first-hand the imaginative garden playground while enjoying live entertainment, activities, refreshments, and giveaways.
“Our new Play Area provides mall shoppers and local families with another great amenity to make time at Moorestown Mall even more enjoyable,” said Lisa Wolstromer, mall marketing director. “It’s a wonderful complement to the mall’s Mom & Me program and enhancement to the center.”
Located in the Macy’s Court, the garden-themed Play Area is colorful and creative with a butterfly bridge, flower slide, and a variety of loveable woodland animal friends to climb on and crawl under. Additionally, it’s an enclosed and carpeted space, so kids can explore safely while parents look-on, relax, and chat on comfortable benches that line the perimeter.
At the Grand Opening, a door of flower balloons will be opened to welcome families into the Play Area. Grand opening celebration activities include crafts by the Garden State Discovery Museum, Jenny with Colorful Hula Hoops — participation and performance Joel the Mad Hatter, Host and Circus Skills and Music and Magic, Butterfly Stilt Walkers, Flower, Butterfly Face Painter, DJ music, refreshments and fun giveaways.
Moorestown Mall’s Mom & Me programs are held the second Thursday of the month from 11 a.m. to noon in the Lord & Taylor Court. Membership is free for local families with pre-school aged children. Each month, families will escape to a world of play and discovery together and enjoy a variety of enticing activities, including puppet shows, arts and crafts, educational games, and sing-alongs.
The Play Area addition is part of the mall transformation set to begin this fall. Over the next several months, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Corner Bakery and the Regal Moorestown Mall Stadium 12 & Regal Premium Experience (RPX) Theater will open.
