Medford Historical Society’s Apple Bake-Off Contest set for Oct. 3

The Apple Bake-Off Contest will take place at the Medford Historical Society’s regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The winners will be announced at the MHS’s 35th Annual Apple Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12th, and also posted on the website MedfordHistory.org.

There will be an esteemed panel of local judges, who will be blind-tasting all the recipes.

Winners will be announced following the meeting and cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third-place will be awarded to adults and teens 11–17-years-old.

Each entry must contain apples.

The recipe should be neatly printed or typed and include name, address and phone number.

Recipes may be printed or published by the Medford Historical Society. Please note if a recipe comes directly from a cookbook.

Dishes must be disposable so as there will be no need to return.

Entrants need not attend the MHS meeting to win, and those winners not present will receive their prize by mail.

The regular meeting of the MHS starts at 7:30 p.m. with a speaker “John & Abigail Adams, A Love Story” by Glenn W. LeBoeuf, set in a backdrop of the American Revolution.

Drop off for the items will be 6:30–7:00 p.m. at Friends Meeting House located at 14 Union Street in Medford.
