The following reports are on file with the Haddonfield Police Department.
Sept. 3 — A victim on the first block of Treaty Elms Lane reported that two planters were taken from the front steps of their residence. Both planters were reported to have cost $150.
Sept. 3 — A complaint was received by the Haddonfield Police Department, showing an unknown male suspect sent what appeared to be a cease and desist legal letter, claiming to be an attorney from the complainant’s law firm. The complainant stated that the suspect was never employed by him and the suspect is not a member of the New Jersey State Bar.
Sept. 5 — A suspicious character was observed by an officer in the area of Marne Avenue and Haddon Avenue. When entering the Westmont PATCO, the suspect noticed the officer and fled on foot. The suspect was apprehended in the area of Haddon Avenue and Crystal Lake. At the time of the apprehension, the suspect was in possession of four containers of infant formula stolen from a Rite Aid in the area. The suspect was charged with shoplifting, receiving stolen property and possession of hypodermic needles.
Sept. 8 — Police responded to a complaint on the 100 block of Summit Avenue. The victim reported that their son’s bike and scooter had been taken sometime the night before. Both the scooter and bike were unsecure at the time. The victim did not have serial numbers for both items.
Sept. 8 — A suspect was charged with hindering apprehension after giving police a false name following a motor vehicle crash. It was discovered that the suspect had a total of $2,346 worth of warrants in Burlington County and was released after posting bail on the warrants.
Sept. 11 — A suspect was apprehended at the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Wood Lane after fleeing from a bank located on Haddon Avenue. The suspect fled from the bank after attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Police engaged in a brief foot pursuit with the suspect prior to his apprehension. It was later found that the suspect was also wanted in Collingwood for burglary. The suspect was charged with forgery, receiving stolen property and possession of hypodermic needles, and transferred over to Collingwood Police Department, where he was then remanded to Camden County
jail.
