BREAKING: Car crashes into home

By SHANNON CAULFIELD and KRISTINA SCALA

At approximately noon Wednesday, March 20, an elderly man drove his car into a home located on the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

No injuries were reported.

The silver station wagon traveled across a median, hit a white SUV, traveled less than 500 feet and struck the side of a residence.

“Could have been a lot worse. He traveled a ways, so we’re very fortunate,” a Haddonfield Police Department official said.

Erica Megava, the owner of the white SUV, was not in the car at the time of the accident. She said she arrived at the scene after the station wagon struck the house.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
