American Legion announces baseball scholarship winners

These are this year’s American Legion baseball scholarship winners.

Pictured Left to Right: Cherry Hill Post No. 372 Commander Bill Quinn, Jon McGugan, Evan Hacker, Head Baseball Coach Ron Krowiak and Camden County American Legion Baseball Chairman Fran Carr.

McGugan is the 2012 winner of the John Huhn III Memorial Scholarship. He is a graduate of Cinnaminson High School and is attending Burlington County College where he is playing baseball.

Evan Hacker is the 2012 winner of the Thomas Goldy Sr. Memorial Scholarship. Hacker is a graduate of Cherry Hill West High School and is attending Rio Grande University in Ohio where he is playing baseball.

These scholarships are named after two former Post No. 372 commanders.

Jack Huhn was the Post Commander for 13 years.

Tom Goldy was Post Commander from 2000 to 2006.

Both were very active supporters of the Post No. 372 Baseball Program.
