Police: suspect arrested in heroine overdose case

The following reports are on file with the Evesham Police Department:

The Evesham Police Department is currently investigating the death of a local man who died on Oct. 28, of an apparent heroin overdose.

During this investigation, the Evesham Police Department arrested a Mount Laurel man on Friday, Nov. 30, who was involved in the heroin overdose case. Investigators arrested the suspect as he arrived for a probation meeting in Mount Holly.

The Evesham Police Department is committed to investigating and charging those who provided drugs to others and to ensure that those responsible for selling the drugs that result in someone’s death are held accountable.

The accused, age 22, of Mount Laurel, NJ was arrested and charged with first-degree strict liability for a drug-induced death. He was lodged in the Burglington County Jail in default of $150,000 full bail.
