Plan for data disaster recovery seminar to support Wounded Warriors

Your hard-built business can quickly get untracked in the event of a catastrophe, whether it’s of the electronic or physical variety. Recovering from such an emergency can take a lot of time and money, and almost surely lost income. But being prepared in case disaster strikes your company can help mitigate the fallout.

Harris Digital Services, a Marlton IT company specializing in data protection, will sponsor a business disaster seminar titled “What if? Is your Business Prepared for an Emergency?” on Nov. 15 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield.

The seminar is designed for all business owners, as well as CEOs, CFOs, accountants and property managers, and all proceeds will go to the nonprofit Wounded Warriors, to benefit injured U.S. soldiers returning home.

“There are many kinds of disasters that can strike your business, from a network crash to a leak in the roof to the death of one of your principals. Ensuring a continuity of business if something should happen is vital, and the key to that is being prepared,” said Robert Harris, president of Harris Digital Services.

Harris, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, will speak about IT Support and Data Disaster Recovery. Other presenters are: Jim Turpin, a retirement and estate-planning specialist with American Prosperity Group, will talk about Business Success and Continuity; Harry Allcroft, of PuroClean Recovery Services in Philadelphia, will talk about Water, Fire, and Mold Damage, and Elizabeth Garcia, Esq., of Parker McKay in Mount Laurel, will focus on Estate Planning

Tickets for the seminar are $28 and can be purchased at www.emerprep.eventbrite.com.

All proceeds will benefit Wounded Warriors. Food and refreshments will be served, and there will be door prizes and a drawing for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
