The Angels won the Marlton Recreation Council’s 11–12 major league baseball basketball championship on June 14 at historic Kessler Field by defeating the Phillies, 6–4. Great pitching and defense and timely hitting were the keys to the Angels’ success. Each player on the team greatly contributed to the team’s title run. Hard work, hustle and fun certainly were certainly the highlights of the Angels’ season.
