Lenape High School sophomore Cathryn Gericke won a third place prize in this year’s Gilda’s Club of SJ-Poetry/Writing contest. Cathryn submitted her poem for consideration this year and was awarded a Nook reader along with her third place recognition amongst numerous student-writers from area.
Beth Wray from the Gilda’s Club of SJ presented Cathryn with her award and Nook at Lenape on June 8th.
Gilda’s Club of SJ is a non-profit support community for people living with cancer, their families and friends. Their contest is an annual competition open to high school poets and writers from the South Jersey region.
