Haddonfield High School Crew competed at the City Championships Sunday in Philadelphia. The Haddonfield Women’s JV 4 boat of Samantha Verzella, Anna Sparrow, Meghan Knecht, Kaitlyn McConville and Coxswain Julia Gallwiitz sprinted into the final and finished third out of a total field of 18 winning the Bronze Medal.
Senior Kent Horsely turned in another strong performance rowing in the Men’s Varsity Single Event. Kent qualified for the final and finished fourth out of a total field of 13.
Next Sunday, May 13 the Haddonfield High School Novice boats will be competing at the Doc White Regatta in Philadelphia. In two weeks on May 18 and 19, Haddonfield High School Crew will be competing at Stotesbury, the largest High School Regatta in the country held each year in Philadelphia.
