Today, the Cherry Hill Police Department arrested Gretchen Pollosco, 28, of Cherry Hill in connection with last week’s fatal hit and run accident.
Binh Tsan, 25, was tragically struck while attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Rt. 70 at Ranaldo Terrace from the grass median after vehicular traffic in both westbound lanes were stopped due to congestion, Cherry Hill police said. She died two days later as a result of her injuries.
Mayor Bernie Platt thanked the police department for their hard work throughout the investigation.
“On Sunday night the Cherry Hill Police Department arrested the alleged driver of the vehicle that struck and killed Bihn Tsan, who worked in Cherry Hill along Route 70. Today the alleged perpetrator’s sister was charged with more offenses including hindering the apprehension of the alleged driver. Before I go any further I want to thank the men and women of the Cherry Hill Police Department for the outstanding work they did bringing these individuals to justice,” Platt said. “This is a tragic situation. I’ve spoken with the Tsan family and Bihn’s boyfriend, who was grazed by the car that day. I promised them that we would bring in the person responsible for this heinous act. Additionally, I’ve written to the Department of Transportation and asked Commissioner Simpson to sit down with me so we can address the issue of pedestrian safety on Route 70.”
Pollosco was charged with hindering apprehension, specifically by providing false information to police who were investigating the Route 70 hit and run accident in which her sister, Elisha Pollosco, was involved.
Gretchen Pollosco was processed and released on her own recognizance pending a preliminary hearing on Sept. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
