Lenape High School Director of Athletics Tim Walsh has announced the hiring of Rob Hummel, a special education teacher at the school and long-time assistant boys’ basketball coach, as the new head girls’ basketball coach at Lenape High School.
Hummel had previously served as an assistant coach in the Lenape boys’ basketball program for 10 years, assisting in the leadership of a program that has won two state championships in that time period.
In speaking of the hiring of Rob Hummel as Head Girls’ Basketball Coach, Lenape Athletic Director Tim Walsh commented, “We are excited about the energy and enthusiasm that Rob will bring to the program. He has shown his love of the game during his years as an assistant in the boys’ basketball program and I am sure he will bring that same passion as the head coach of the girls’ team.”
