The Medford Cultural Arts Commission has announced the return of its annual Paint Our Town contest, inviting local. visual artists to participate.
The event will be held June 4, with a rain date of June 5. Young artists to the age of 17 and adults 18-years-old and up are encouraged to share their vision of their favorite recognizable natural, cultural or historic site within Medford in a work begun and completed on location that same day.
Participants are asked to meet at the Medford Arts Center on June 4 at 9 a.m. From there, they’ll go out and start working.
There is no entry fee to participate and cash prizes will be given out to the winners. Photography and computer work will not be accepted for this contest.
Winning artists will be invited to frame and wire their entries for exhibition at the Medford Art Center after the event. Their work may also be put up for sale, if the artist wishes.
