The following incident was taken from reports on file with The Medford Township Police Department:
On April 19 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Medford Police were called to Virtua Hospital in Marlton, in reference to a 21-year-old female who reported that she had been sexually assaulted in Medford Township.
Investigation revealed that the victim had attended a party at a residence in Medford the previous evening. During the party, the victim became intoxicated and went to sleep. Later in the evening, she awoke to find that she was being sexually assaulted by a 43-year-old male of Medford. The male was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault. Judge James W. Palmer Jr. set the suspect’s bail at $300,000.
On April 20, at approximatley 8 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody at a residence in Medford. He was subsequently lodged in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail.
