Plays and Players opening “The Drowsy Chaperone”

Haddonfield Plays and Players will be opening its new production on Thursday, March 31, with “The Drowsy Chaperone,” a production simply intent on entertaining its audience members.

Plays and Players representatives said the production is simply designed to entertain. If you’ve ever sat in a dark theater and thought to yourself, “Dear God let this be entertaining,” then Plays and Players invites you to the show.

The show follows a die-hard musical theater fan who plays his favorite cast album on his turntable, and the musical literally bursts to life in his living room, telling the tale of a Broadway starlet trying to find and keep her true love.

Tickets for the Thursday night preview show are $12. Opening night on Friday, April 1 at 8 p.m. $20 and buy one get one free. All other tickets are $20.
