Students at St. Joan of Arc School in Marlton were treated to an Irish spectacle last Friday. In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, the students were given a show by several local performers.
The assembly included Irish Dancers, a trdiation Irish band called McDermott’s Handy, a lesson on the Irish ABCs and finally a performance from The Great O’Dolan, a Magician with an Irish flair.
Many students were part of the show by learning to dance, reading about Ireland or assisting in tricks. The Dancers, adult and youth, represent the South Jersey Irish Society. The young Dancers are based at Dansations in Hainesport under the instruction and choreography of award-winning Jean Ver Hoeven.
