Obituary: Marian E. Rathz

Marian E. Rathz, (Nee Tynan), of Marlton, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on March 1. She was 81.

Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, she is the daughter of the late William E. and Blanche R. Tynan. Marian was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis and has resided in Marlton for the past 18 years. moving here from Medford.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford and the MLCC Bridge Club. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge.

She is the beloved wife of 59 yrs. of C. Francis Rathz of Marlton and the loving mother of John F. Rathz and his wife Rosemary of Bethesda, M.D., Joan F. Rhoads and her husband James of Moorestown, James W. Rathz and his wife Elizabeth of Wexford, Pa., Mary Kay Topper and her husband Edward of Emmaus, Pa. and Patricia A. Hino and her husband Andrew of Berwyn, Pa.. She is also survived by her identical twin sister Maureen Marks of Indianapolis, her son-in-law Philip Reitnour of Malvern, Pa. and also twenty Grandchildren. She is the mother of the late Linda M. Rathz and the late Kathleen A. Reitnour and the sister of the late John W. Tynan.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bradley & Stow, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford. Interment will follow in the Parkview Cemetery in Medford.
