The Medford Township Police and Fire were dispatched to 48 South Main Street on Feb. 28 for report of a gas leak.
Residents at 48, 54 and 56 South Main Street were evacuated for a short time until the fire department could secure the gas leak.
Police investigation revealed that a driver had struck the gas meter on the side of the residence while attempting to park their vehicle.
Residents were allowed back into their homes after about 15 minutes. There were no injuries. South Jersey Gas Company arrived on location and repaired the damaged meter.
