Police Reports

The following items can be found on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:

• An Atlantic Ave East resident reported to police on Feb. 24 at 1:40 p.m. that there were footprints and bike prints leading into an abandoned piece of property on the street. An officer examined the scene and found that the property had been broken into.

A local bank owns the property. Nothing was stolen.

•A Westmont Avenue resident reported to police on Feb. 22 at 11:27 p.m. that a suspect entered his home pried open a locked firebox. The box contained identification documents — including his birth certificate and passport — but nothing was stolen.

• A Spruce Street resident reported to police on Feb. 22 at 6:57 p.m. that an unknown suspect entered her home and stole an unknown amount of jewelry and money.

The stolen items were located in her master bedroom.

• A Loucroft Road resident reported to police on Feb. 21 at 8:50 a.m. that an unknown suspect entered his unlocked Mercedes-Benz. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle, but his driver’s license was sliced with an unknown object.

• A North Drive resident reported to police on Feb. 18 at 9:56 p.m. that a male suspect was trying to enter her unlocked car. The suspect saw her and fled on foot. A Haddon Heights police officer noticed the suspect based off of his description and arrested the suspect.

He admitted to taking change from vehicles. He was charged with burglary and theft.

• A male suspect was arrested out of Sewell, NJ and charged with theft stemming from an incident several months ago. A Wedgewood Lane resident reported several months ago that after the suspect’s window washing service cleaned her windows, she noticed that she was missed $4,500 worth of jewelry.

Officers had a pawnshop receipt that matched the victim’s jewelry and the suspect’s photo identification. Harrison Township police officers arrested the suspect at his home, several warrants had been placed for his arrest out of Haddonfield and Harrison Township.
