While the elections are more than two months out, interested public servants should not that the deadline to register for the school board elections is March 8.
The Evesham K-8 School District BOE will see three seats expire at the end of this school year. Each seat is three-years in length, explained Cindy Esposito, secretary to the superintendent in the district.
The seats that are expiring are held by Sandy Student, Bonnie Olt, and Rosemary Bernardi. Nobody has filed to run for reelection so far, she said, and no member of the public has filed to run either.
The deadline to register for the election is 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 8.
Candidates must file a nominating petition with the local school board in order to get their name on the ballot for the election. The election is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 2011. This year’s election is a week later than elections past.
Of course the election will also include the 2011–2012 budget, which board representatives said will tentatively be approved on Thursday, March 3.
