The Katz JCC in Cherry Hill will host The Big Band Era, a lecture on the bands and music of the 1930s on Thursday, July 8 at 11 a.m. This event is free and open to all members of the community.
Guest scholar, Dr. Stephen Marcone, will take attendees back in time and discuss the differences of big bands of American jazz: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Harry James. A tuna lunch will be available for $1.50 following the lecture.
