10th Annual Spring Golf Classic

The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter’s 10th Annual Spring Golf Classic will tee off May 18 at Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill. Once again, this year’s Presenting Sponsor is Innova Health & Rehab, which has three facilities in South Jersey.

This year’s tournament has slots for 128 golfers, who can register online at www.alz.org/desjsepa. The cost for a single golfer is $425, which includes lunch from Carrabba’s Italian Grill, a cocktail party, buffet dinner and pastries from Simplicity Desserts of Voorhees. A foursome is $1,500. Spouses and supporters who don’t golf can attend the cocktail party and dinner for just $100. A portion of all fees is tax-deductible.

“The Spring Golf Classic is always a great event, highlighted by hopefully traditionally great weather, terrific food, and a few surprise celebrity guests,” says South Jersey Executive Director Linda Coppinger. “And the best part is every golfer is helping to fight Alzheimer’s disease and support those who deal with it day-to-day, while enjoying a great day out of the office.”

A wide range of sponsorship and support opportunities are still available, ranging from Tournament Sponsor at $12,000 to Hole Sponsor for as little as $350. Most sponsorships include two or four golf slots and exposure with a full-color ad in the event program. Program book ads are also available. A portion of all sponsorship fees are tax-deductible. Call 797–1212 for more information.

As an added value, golfers this year will have the opportunity to receive a video analysis of their golf swing. This Capture Action Swing Video is a good way to review technique and improve performance on the links.

Every 70 seconds, someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s disease. More than 5.3 million nationwide are coping with its devastating effects.

The Delaware Valley Chapter covers 18 counties in South Jersey, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, serving more than 294,000 individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder.

For more information, call the 24 hour helpline at (800) 272–3900 or visit the chapter Web site at www.alz.org/desjsepa.
